Easter Break in Dublin (Friday 12th to Monday 29th April 2019)

Easter is a great time of the year to spend some quality time with the family, but it can be tiring and costly thinking of ways to entertain the little ones over such a long period. Luckily Dublin is a great place for families and there are loads of child-friendly events on around the city to look forward to. Don’t miss a thing this Easter Break with our handy guide

Butlers Chocolate Experience

Butlers Chocolate is one of Irelands most popular and delicious products, made right here in Dublin in their factory which is open to the public to visit. You can visit the factory as a family and watch the chocolate video, wander around the interactive chocolate museum learning how it’s made & packaged and learn how to decorate your very own chocolate bunny to take with you. The Easter Bunny himself may even make a surprise appearance. The staff and friendly and informative and can keep the little ones entertained and engaged for an entire afternoon.

Walk on the pier

If the weather is fine, why not take the kids for a walk along Dun Laoghaire Pier. Make an adventure out of it and take the DART from Ballsbridge along Dublin’s scenic coast. There are markets each weekend selling a huge variety of food, treats and other cute products they can spend their pocket money on. You can visit the National Maritime Museum and learn a lot about fishing boats and the coast guards who keep us safe on the water. As a real treat, let them choose an ice-cream in Scrumdiddlys. You can build your own or go for one of their imaginative concoctions and we promise they never disappoint.
